Use of Akismet to prevent spam comments

This website uses the Akismet plugin from Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110-4929, USA. This plugin helps to differentiate comments from real people from spam comments. To accomplish this, all comment data is sent to a server located in the USA, where it is analyzed and stored for four days for comparison purposes. If a comment has been categorized as spam, the data is stored for a longer period of time. This data includes the name that is given, the email address, the IP address, the content of the comment, the referrer, information on the browser and the computer system that is used, and the time the entry is made.  You may use pseudonyms or give no name or email address. You can totally prevent the transmission of the data, by not using our comment system. This would be a shame, but otherwise we see no other alternative for working as effectively. You can forbid the use of your data in the future under support@wordpress.com, re: “Deletion of Data stored by Akismet” and entering/describing the stored data.
